The basket is used to create a temporary collection of bibliographic records. The basket can be used to place holds on multiple records at once, print or email record details, add records to a record bucket, and export records to a file.

The basket in Evergreen is temporary, and you can only have one basket at a time. If you want to save the contents of a basket for later, you will need to add the basket to a Record Bucket.

The basket works with bibliographic records (as opposed to item records).

Viewing the Basket

To view a basket, click the basket icon in the search form, located to the left of the Basket Actions button.

You may also click Basket Actions and from the dropdown click View Basket to open the basket.

Records appear in the basket as they appear in the search results, although Facets are unavailable in the basket.
