Every library staff account must have a staff permission group assigned as their Main (Profile) Permission Group in order to access the staff client. Staff can also have secondary permission groups assigned to give them access to special features.
Library directors should consider what functions each staff member needs access to and assign the appropriate permission group.
This is a general outline of the available staff permission groups and the permissions included. Some permission groups are specific to a particular library type.

These secondary permission groups give staff access to functions in the acquisitions module. More information on these groups can be found in the Acquisitions Permission Groups section of Sitka’s Evergreen Acquisitions Documentation.
This secondary permission group gives staff access to the carousel feature in Evergreen that is used by LibPress libraries.
Library staff must send a request to Co-op Support if they need to have this permission group added to their account.

This secondary permission group gives staff access to the cover image uploader found Evergreen’s staff catalogue.

This secondary permission group gives staff access to the reporter in Evergreen to run and view reports.
In accordance with Sitka’s privacy policy and owing to the nature of Sitka’s shared Evergreen database any staff needing access to the reporter must sign and submit the Full Reporter Privacy Waiver. Once the waiver is completed, if the staff account meets the required criteria, Co-op Support will grant reporter permissions to the account.
This secondary permission group gives staff access view report output that is shared with them via email or a link.
In accordance with Sitka’s privacy policy and owing to the nature of Sitka’s shared Evergreen database any staff needing access to the reporter must sign and submit the All Staff Reporter Privacy Waiver. Once the waiver is completed, if the staff account meets the required criteria, Co-op Support will grant reporter permissions to the account.
Staff permission groups for K12 school staff are significantly different from other library types.

Only users with reporting permissions can access the Reports interface or view report output. To request reporting permissions staff must sign and submit a Reporter Privacy Waiver.
