What is a series statement

  • The RDA glossary defines a series statement as: “A statement identifying a series to which a resource belongs and the numbering of the resource within the series.”
  • Series statements are indexed and searchable in Sitka’s Evergreen.
  • Series statements appear in the 490 and 800/830 fields in a MARC record.
